Inclement Weather Policy - Reminders

Reminder - only the coordinators should be communicating with our Officials at Meets. Please see the info below regarding Inclement Weather. We will update via texts & emails as restarting or rescheduling decisions are made.
From Cobb Summer Swim League:
Swim meets will be halted and all present asked to wait in their cars for storms to pass. The standard issued by the Red Cross in their lifeguard manual is 30 minutes from the last thunder. The Official and lifeguard on duty at the meet will work together on this and NO ONE should question their call. This includes approaching them with smart phones in hand to show them the latest and greatest weather app. The Officials will put safety first and technology last in all situations!
Should it be determined by the COORDINATORS of the two teams that it would be best to reschedule they can notify the League so that an official can be scheduled. It is not the responsibility of the teams to find an official. In all times possible the official that began the meet will be scheduled to return to finish the meet.
